Diesmal hieß es wieder „der frühe Wurm fängt den Vogel“ (oder so ähnlich) und wir sind kurz vor 6 Uhr aufgestanden, um die Vögel auch tatsächlich finden zu können. Und tatsächlich hatten wir nach nur einer Stunde alle 3 in Costa Rica vorkommenden Tukanarten gesehen und diverse andere Vögel. Teilweise wusste man nicht, wo man zuerst hinsehen sollte. Danach ging es eine Runde in den hoteleigenen Regenwald. Die gut 262m lange Hängebrücke überquerten wir dabei das erste, aber nicht das letzte Mal. Da die Tour so toll war, entschieden wir uns die Schokoladentour auch noch am Nachmittag zu „besuchen“. Hier lernten wir alles über die „klassischen“ und modernen Zubereitungsmethoden von Schokolade und Kakao.
This time the motto was „the early worm catches the bird“ (or something like that) and we got up shortly before 6 am to see the local birds. And we truly had seen all 3 toucan species living in Costa Rica and many other birds. Sometimes you didn’t knew where to look first. After that we went another hour through the hotels own rainforest. Therefore we crossed the 860 feet long hanging bridge for the first, but not the last time today. We decided to do the chocolate tour in the afternoon too, where we learned all about the historic and modern methods of chocolate and kakao making.
